Skilled Labor Productions was founded in 2022 by Taka Yasuzawa, and it’s portfolio includes work on the Pulitzer Prize winning SUAVE from Futuro Media and the Third Coast Audio Award winning You Didn’t See Nothin from The Invisible Institute. Taka previously worked in the music department at the multi-national digital agency, Wunderman Thompson.

Original Composition: We specialize in the composition of original theme music, score/incidental music, and UI sounds. Original music/audio sets a unique tone for your project that differentiates it from others in your field.
Sound Design/Sound Mixing: Another of our specialties is finding the right incidental music for your project— even from a library. Sound Design, in thoughtfully integrating this music and sound effects, can create a truly immersive listening/viewing experience. Sound Mixing, is vital to making sure all of these elements pop.
Music Consulting: If you happen to be working with a composer and are having trouble conveying your feedback, it’s often based on an early miscommunication that can compound itself with each round of notes . We can step in as an intermediary and lay out some basic musical concepts that are easy for non-musicians to understand and helpful for your composer.
